John L. Borling (Major General USAF-ret)

John Borling is a highly decorated retired Air Force Major General. He served worldwide in high level command and staff positions. A fighter pilot, he graduated from the Air Force Academy, the National War College, executive education at Harvard – the Business School and the JFK School — and he was a White House Fellow. During the Vietnam War, he was shot down by ground fire. Seriously injured, he was captured while trying to evade and spent over 6 1/2 years as a POW in Hanoi. Currently, he occupies leadership positions in multiple civic and business organizations. He is the author of the nationally acclaimed book “Taps on the Walls”.

Mr. Kogut, of Kenneth J. Kogut & Associates, maintains a professional energy and management consulting practice serving clients in the commercial, industrial, institutional, and governmental sectors. Prior to the establishment of his organization, Mr. Kogut, as a senior consultant for a major international consulting organization, assisted in developing testimony to the Washington, D.C. Public Service Commission in one of the first time of day rate cases in the country. He additionally assisted in various electric and gas utility reviews regarding utility operations, economic, managerial, and systems elements, affecting overall utility operations and energy rate structures. He also assisted in projects involving USDOE and Argonne National Laboratory, regarding identifying economic and regulatory impediments for co-generation facilities, and Integrated Community Energy Systems (ICES) concepts.
Mr. Harold Woods, of Cypress, Texas President of photography company Studio C International, former President and CEO of Meridian Group of Delaware. Mr. Woods is a member of the North American Business & Industrial Council, Chairman’s Circle Member of the Oxford Club, International Safety Committee, Former President (three terms) of the Board of the University of Illinois Extension Council Kankakee, Ill. Was named Businessman of the year 2002 by the National Republican Congressional Committee. Member of the American Federation of Police, has served on Business Advisory Council (BAC) for the National Republican National Congressional Committee, Washington, DC. Mr. Woods also served on the White House Millennium Council under President Clinton, and formerly served on the City of Kankakee’s Planning Commission. Founder of the Kankakee Railroad Museum, and former co-chair of the county wide Kankakee River Valley Forum. former board member of the Kankakee County Drug Court. Colonel & Pilot in the Commemorative Air Force, Chair of the 50th anniversary of Windcrest, Texas, former President & CEO of The Aerospace Museum of Texas, San Antonio. Member of the Violence Prevention Task Force.
Dr. Mark Weiman
Dr. Mark Weiman received a Bachelors of Science in General Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1971 and served as Field Artillery Officer in the United States Army from 1971 to 1973. He went on to receive his DMD from the School of Dental Medicine of Philadelphia in 1978. He has been a practicing dentist since 1978, holding memberships in the American Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society and Chicago Dental Society. He is Chair of the Illinois State Treasury Veteran’s Advisory Board and member of the Council of Global Affairs, the American Legion and the West Point Society of Chicago.
Michael adamantly believes in the individual and collective benefits that SOS America can offer and looks forward to a renewed nation. Before joining SOS America, he was a financial manager in the United States Air Force for over 6 years. Born in Rockford, IL, he left at age 18 to attend the United States Air Force Academy where he played four years on the football team as a tight end and defensive end. In 2008, he received his Bachelor of Science degree in business management as a Distinguished Management Major from the United States Air Force Academy. His active duty Air Force experience includes financial management and comptroller assignments in Arizona, Sultanate of Oman, and California. After leaving active duty in September of 2014, Michael transitioned into the Air Force Reserves, where he is a Captain assigned to Los Angeles Air Force Base.
